Marjorie A Kraft, age 98 of Menomonie, WI died peacefully at her home at Autumn Village on April 26, 2012.
The former Marjorie Aune was born in Menomonie, WI on November 18, 1913 to Ever and Mary (Berseth) Aune. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Menomonie and has lived in Menomonie all of her life. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1932 and worked as a legal secretary for The Law Firm of Peterson and Slocumb until her marriage to William Kraft on July 24, 1935. For many years they owned and operated The Kraft State Bank of Menomonie.
Her main interest was her family and her church, especially the choir. In later years she enjoyed her weekly visits from her beautician and dear friend Georgie Miller of Menomonie. She especially enjoyed her evening dinner group at Autumn Village and her nightly coffee group. They spent many hours together talking over the good old days.
Marjorie is survived by her grandchildren: Barbara (Vito Orsino) Blackhall of Plantation, FL, Douglas (Maureen) Kraft of Eau Claire, WI, Lynn (Mike) Kinder of Naples, FL and their mother Yvonne Kraft of Menomonie. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, son Roger, daughter-in-law Bonnie; five sisters, Sophie Marine, Alma Hillman, Helen Halverson, Carrie Mockmer and Myrtle Phillips; and her brothers, Arthur, Peter and Carl.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Mark Hendrickson officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie.
