Agnes V. Menster, age 96, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.
The former Agnes Markham was born October 20, 1915 in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. Wisconsin to Racey and Louise (Kuehnle) Markham.
Agnes married Albert Menster September 14, 1937 in Crown Point, IN. They made their home in Menomonie and were members of United Methodist Church in Menomonie for many years.
Agnes was a bookkeeper for Menster's Blacksmith and Welding Shop and assisted Albert in many ways in the shop.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 682 for over 50 years. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, quilting and knitting afghans. Agnes always enjoyed traveling, spending time at their cottage and winters in Arizona. She also loved playing cards and especially loved her Bingo games.
Agnes is survived by two daughters, Marlys Tietz (Gerald) of New Brighton, MN and Diana Menster-Sullivan (Michael) of Brooklyn Park, MN; five grandchildren, Nicholas (Jinessa) Tietz, Matthew Tietz and Brett, Justin and Kristin Sullivan; Three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Sophia and Samara Tietz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Albert and an infant sister.
Agnes's family would like to thank the American Lutheran Home for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 19, 2012 at United Methodist Church in Menomonie. There will be visitation at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday with Women of the Moose services at 3:30 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie.
