Linda Monroe

I will never forget when I met Linda. She and I connected immediately. We could always make each other smile and laugh. I credited Linda for her hard efforts and never giving up. She has further impacted my life in so many ways including to never accept less. As I now reflect on my times with Linda they all involved caring, lending an ear, laughing, and always hugging. I will forever miss you Linda and look forward to seeing you in heaven. Love you.

In the 56 years we've known each other, our lives have taken us from fighting over pacifiers to watching our grandchildren do the same. It was logical with our mothers being best friends that we would spend our days together. When you moved to Anoka, we "hung-out" most evenings. Then we got married and our lives moved on. We went from daily playpen conversations to yearly Christmas cards, but our many memories kept you close to my heart.

When you wanted my straight popcorn-bowl haircut I cut off your long georgous chocolate locks. How old were we, seven? Boy was your dad mad!

I refused to speak to you when you got the first blonde Barbie, and I had the old one with the black bubble cut. It didn't last long.

I remember washing your refrigerator because your time was taken with that sweet baby, Sarah, even though neither of us could afford to put food in it.

And you stopped in Ohio with your daughters and a u-haul in tow on your way to meet up with Scott in Massachusettes. I worried that he wasn't right for you, but I was wrong for 21 years.

It is hard to say goodbye, but easy to say "I love you."

Linda was such a lovely person. We always had a lot of laughs when we got together. Just sorry those times got to be less and less as Linda struggled with her health. We stayed buddies on line, though, and I will miss her dearly. My love and prayers are with the family.

I remember last week when mom got out of the hospital. We went to lunch at a restaurant that she was really wanting to go called. We sat and talked for over an hour and just enjoyed our meal together. Later we went to bingo with Angie, Abagail and Shawna. We had a great afternoon and evening together.
