Michael T. Danovsky

Michael T. Danovsky, age 39, of Eau Claire, WI died Tuesday August 7, 2012 following a rafting accident near Shawano, WI.

He was born March 24, 1973 in Eau Claire, WI to Thomas and Sharon (Dresser) Danovsky. Mike was raised in the Boyceville area and graduated from Boyceville High School in 1992.

After graduation, Mike worked at Chippewa Concrete, beginning as an apprentice, then as a laborer and was presently working as a finisher.

Mike was a fun loving guy and would whistle as he worked. He enjoyed singing to the radio, often changing the words. He also enjoyed going smelting every April. He loved his boys "the little rats" as well as Austin and Dayne, referred to as "Bud". Mikes most enjoyable pastime was riding cycle, racking up many miles going to Bike Week and to many other parts of the country.

Mike is survived by his two sons, Jace Danovsky and Drake Danovsky; mother of his children Susan Danovsky; two step-sons, Dayne Novak and Austin Novak; his parents, Tom and Sharon Danovsky; a twin brother, Todd (Sandy) Danovsky (niece Brooklynn Danovsky, nephew Bailey Danovsky); a sister Ashley (Keith) Krueger (nieces, Kaitlin and Paige Krueger); his grandmother, Lila Dresser; best friend, Brenda Carpenter and her son Ryan Carpenter; special friends, Tina, Brandon and William; he is also survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Emil and Margaret Danovsky and Sumner C. Dresser.

There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life at the Fox Hole (Veterans Center, north of Menomonie just off Highway 25)
