Richard John "Dick" Bilse, age 79, of Menomonie, formerly of Antigo, WI passed away at the Dunn County Health Care Center on Sunday, July 7, 2013 after a brief illness.

Richard was born on April 17, 1934 in Menomonie to John and Edna (Dinnies) Bilse, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Barron High School and received his Bachelors, Masters and Ed. Specialist Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He taught Industrial Arts at Antigo High School and finished his teaching career at North Central Technical Institute, teaching welding.

Richard's hobbies included watching Badger and Packer Football games, Milwaukee Brewers Baseball games, deer hunting, playing cards and riding his four-wheeler.

Richard is survived by his wife Patricia Bilse; four children, Jeanne (William) Romstadt, Thomas (Suzanne) Bilse, Gerald (Melinda) Bilse and Theresa (Brian) Kraft; thirteen grandchildren, Spencer, Elizabeth, Quinn, Maura, Faith and Reghan Romstadt; Joshua, Meredith, Madelynn, Jerry Jr., Grant, Grace and Christian Bilse; and a brother, James (Mary-Ann) Bilse.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.

Richard's family would like to give a special thank you to nurses Amy and Luke and their staff who took such special care of Richard on Sunday, the Rehabilitation staff, and all who offered such loving care during his stay, also the day staff, Sue and Loren and many others.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Pastor Curtis Brooks officiating. There will be visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
