Edward Charles Clifford, age 70, of Menomonie, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.

Ed was born April 9, 1941 in Maiden Rock, WI to Danna L. and Catherine (Hase) Clifford. His childhood was spent growing up in the Knapp area and was a graduate of Boyceville High School.

Ed enjoyed sports, especially football and baseball and as his children grew, he coached many of the teams. He also had an avid interest in the Theatre and Music. When Karaoke began, he was in heaven as he loved to sing songs and entertain people. Ed was a very "social" man and if you were a true friend, it was for life. His family was very important to him and was very proud of each person. He felt "truly rich" because of the relationships and experiences he had in life.

He is survived by "the love of his life", Barbara Jean of Menomonie; 3 children, Melinda (Brad) Fluck of Atwater, MN, Jon (Aimee) Clifford of Mpls, MN and Danielle Clifford of Sheboygan; step-children, Thomas (Michele) Hinrichs of Cadott, Tammy Hinrichs of Thorp, Tracey (Mike) Prieve of Elk Mound and Travis Hinrichs of Park, KS; 19 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Irma Dahl, Danna "Nick" Clifford, Elizabeth "Annie" (Bill) Peturka and Gary (Winnie) Clifford; many brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Deana Zillmer and Marilyn LaBarre.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Olson Funeral Home and also 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.
